I hope all is well. Today I have another review of another HaruHaru Wonder product! As you know, I have been using products from the k beauty brand since Feb. I have been using the cleansing oil long enough to get to know it so I’m sharing my thoughts on it today.
Experience
I’ve been using the black rice cleansing oil for the last 2 months and boy have I really tested this product out! The deep cleansing oil promises to gently remove makeup & impurities without skin irritation. It is made up of 100% natural oils.
I follow the double cleansing routine and I’ve been using this as my 1st step since the end of Jan. The oil is lightweight and spreads very easily across the face. I use enough pumps about 2 or 3 and massage all over my face.
I have tested this out against lash glue, waterproof mascara, layers of SPF, makeup etc. I’ve put this product through its paces! and my conclusion is that I LOVE it! This cleansing oil is very effective at removing makeup! It emulsifies really well with the addition of water and turns milky. The cleanser rinses off well with water or just removing with a makeup cloth. Against waterproof mascara it does really well and I find that one cleanse with the oil is enough to remove it all however when it comes to lash glue( the one I use is also waterproof) it takes a bit more massaging to remove it and depending on how much glue I use, I may have to use a bit more to completely remove it. This is not unique though to the haruharu, I find that against lash glue, I have to use a bit more of my 1st cleanser to remove it.
When it comes to SPF and face makeup, this oil literally starts to break them down as soon as it makes contact- its very quick!
Verdict
I’ve always been a cleansing balm kind of girl until I used the Eve Lom & Tatcha cleansing oils and I absolutely loved them but they are pricey. This cleansing oil from HaruHaru is so good at what it says it will do: gently cleanse the skin with no irritation. It doesn’t clog my pores either. I’m happy to have found an affordable cleansing oil that is very effective. The packaging works very well for the product and I have not had any issues with the pump. It doesn’t feel oily or heavy on the skin.
