I updated our popular roundup of easy updos for work recently-ish, but it’s been way too long since we’ve had a roundup of great tutorials for work hair. Here are some quick and easy ideas that everyone will appreciate at your office!
Great Tutorials for Work Hair for Lawyers, Executives, and other Professionals
Space Buns!

What better way to say that you’re a modern, hip, with-it woman than to show up with space buns! These coordinate just as well with an interview suit as they do a sleek dress from The Fold. (Or, hey, if you’re a judge, these look fabulous with a robe!)
This tutorial from YouTuber @BrittanyNichole looks great ā if you want more ideas, InStyle has a helpful roundup of 20 different kinds of space buns.
Ciri’s Hair from The Witcher

Looking for a great way to remind your team that you get it, work-life balance IS important? Try a hairstyle from Gingersnark.
If you don’t know TikToker @Gingersnark, clear a few hours to go through her portfolio ā she has extremely long hair and loves recreating the hairstyles from fantasy/sci-fi characters.
I really couldn’t decide what to post from her ā Legolas hair? Queen Charlotte birdcage hair? Targaryen hair? Too many choices. I’m going to defer to her judgment, though, and go with one of the ones she’s got pinned: a beautiful braid from Ciri, a character in The Witcher.
Speaking of clearing hours, you may want to do that for this hairstyle ā she notes it involved four kinds of braids and took her more than an hour.
Spiky Pigtails

OK, I’ll admit it this one comes from a ācrazy hair ideas for girlsā tutorial from IGer @paisleyspetalshairā but come on, how great would this look with a sweater lady jacket and some wide-leg trousers? If you want to have a more sophisticated look, choose elastics that either match your sweater, or contrast subtly with your hair.
Readers, what are some of your favorite ways to wear your hair for work? Have you seen any really cool tutorials that you’d like to share?
