A couple of months ago, I was sent three haircare products from Fairy Tales Haircare, a brand of products created for kids’ hair. Unfortunately, I don’t have any young children nearby to try the products out on, and carrying them with me when we visit Jeff’s toddler granddaughter just didn’t make sense.
I received:
So this isn’t exactly a personal review, but a report on what I learned from others.
Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Cosmetic Daily Shampoo and Cosmetic Conditioner
Because Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Cosmetic Daily Shampoo and Conditioner are lice repelling hair products, they are not products that I could use. As I have mentioned previously, I am an active participant in my local Buy Nothing chapter. I decided that the best thing would be to offer Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel on the Buy Nothing page. I photographed the products and posted it with a description of the products.
Rosemary Repel fights lice with its scent. Lice don’t like the smell, but kids do! In fact, Fairy Tales recommend that parents spray their kids’ backpacks, inside their hats and baseball caps, and clothing with Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Cosmetic Conditioner Spray in addition to using the shampoo and conditioner on their kids’ hair.
The products use the power of plant extracts:
- rosemary
- citronella
- tea tree oil
- lemongrass
- peppermint
- geranium oil
- jojoba
- chamomile
- lavender
The last three plant extracts on the list above hydrate, moisturize and soothe the scalp. It’s gentle enough for everyday use, and it contains no harsh chemicals or toxins.
I can almost smell the shampoo and conditioner in my imagination. I love the smell of those herbs and plants! BTW, the shampoo contain 84% naturally derived ingredients and the conditioner contains 98% naturally derived ingredients.
The products are:
Once I posted the Rosemary Repel products, what amazed me was how many local mothers asked to be considered! I had to use the Random Name Generator to choose the winner 😀 Several of the moms wrote that their kids were regular users of Fairy Tales haircare products. Awesome!

Fairy Tales Daily Cleanse Multitasker Conditioning Spray
So I did try Fairy Tales Daily Cleanse Multitasker Conditioning Spray a couple of times. But in no way was the conditioning spray meant for a mature woman with color-treated hair who also uses haircare products to maintain her hair color during washing. Initially, I used my usual IGK More Life Color-Preserving Shampoo and I followed that by spraying Fairy Tales Daily Cleanse Multitasker Conditioning Spray. In spite of me complaining about hair loss, I have a lot of hair, a lot of coarse, thick hair. Unfortunately, Fairy Tales Multitasker Conditioning Spray wasn’t up to the challenge of my heavy, tangled hair. The next time, I used it after using IGK More Life Color-Preserving Conditioner, but using two conditioners just ended up making my hair feel dirty three days earlier than usual. I think that Fairy Tales Daily Cleanse Multitasker Conditioning Spray is best for kids, maybe even for adults with fine, thinner hair.

As a result, I offered the Fairy Tales Daily Cleanse Multitasker Conditioning Spray to a young woman with a toddler. She was delighted! She said that Fairy Tales is the brand she uses on her little girl. Much better!
